Statement from Urenco as the UK notifies of intention to withdraw from the European Union
29 March 2017 Global NewsOn 29 March, the UK government invoked Article 50 and notified of their intention to withdraw from the European Union and the EURATOM Treaty. For more than 45 years, Urenco has played an important role as a long term partner to the world’s nuclear energy industry and as a member of the EURATOM Community. Since the UK referendum result, Urenco has put a business continuity plan in place to mitigate potential risks and anticipate any opportunities that emerge from the UK’s exit from the European Union and the EURATOM Community.
In a post-Brexit landscape Urenco will ensure that we sustain normal operations across all our facilities and continue to deliver on our commitments to our customers.
