Urenco publishes net zero transition plan
14 December 2023 Global NewsUrenco has today published its first net zero transition plan, accounting for how it intends to cut its emissions as a company in less than two decades.
The plan sets out where Urenco’s carbon emissions are in its business and how it is taking action to reduce them to zero; by 2030 for scopes 1 and 2, and by 2040 overall.
The UK’s Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) called on companies to voluntarily produce transition plans for their net zero journey, to ensure they are transparent and accountable for their efforts.
Urenco will produce subsequent updates of the plan on an annual basis, reaffirming its commitment to reaching net zero and striving to overcome any resulting challenges.
